HEPA air scrubber rental for dry-outs and dusty jobs.

What it actually does

Air movers kick up everything on a wet floor — drywall dust, carpet fibers, whatever was living in the pad. The scrubber pulls room air through a pre-filter and a HEPA filter (99.97% at 0.3 microns) and sends it back clean, cycling the air in a typical room several times an hour. That takes the dust and most of the musty smell out of the equation while the room dries, instead of leaving it to settle on everything you own.

With the duct port it can also be set up as a negative-air machine: exhaust to the outside through a window and the room stays at slightly lower pressure than the rest of the house, so dust and odor don't drift into the hallway.

Rent it on its own for

• ✓ Drywall sanding, demolition or flooring tear-out in an occupied house
• ✓ A dry-out where you already have the drying equipment
• ✓ Smoke or cooking odor after the source is gone
• ✓ Allergy season in a house with a lot of construction dust
• ✓ Keeping a renovation room's dust out of the rest of the home

What it is not for

Mold remediation. An air scrubber is part of a mold job, but only part — the job also needs containment, removal, antimicrobial treatment and someone who knows what they're doing. If you can see mold, this rental is not the answer and I won't rent it for that. Same for sewage and outside floodwater. Clean-water dry-outs and construction dust only.

Filters are inspected between rentals and replaced when they're loaded. If you're running it in a particularly dusty job and the airflow drops noticeably, call and I'll swap the pre-filter.
